“The Architect’s Method: Designing Higher Ed for the Success of Every Student.”
In this talk, noted scholar of higher education and new technologies Cathy N. Davidson looks at the built environments of our campuses and asks how we can think about ways they can support every student’s success.  She looks at everything from parking lots to pedagogy and addresses the actual daily lives and needs of a majority of students today.  She also considers the “hidden curriculum” of student life and the lopsided faculty reward and recognition system that contributes to the perpetuation of inequality and advocates positive, practical ways of including students and faculty as we address these perennial problems.
