March 2005
By now you should have received your mailing for the annual
DVAPPA Skytop Educational Retreat. The same information is
also available on the DVAPPA web-site. This year’s speaker
for the educational portion is Dr. Steven Sobel, and information
on Dr. Sobel can be found on [his] web site www.Dstevesobel.com
In conjunction with our educational offerings will be a round
table discussion concerning LEEDS. Have you ever been asked
about your institution, “is this a LEEDS building or
project”, and you were not quite sure what the meant?
How does the LEEDS point system actually work? This roundtable
discussion will provide you time to learn, or offer your expertise
on the subject.
As always there will be ample time for informal discussion
with your peers and associates, not to mention the receptions
and meals with one another. Need I speak to the high quality
of food? I think not as those of you attending prior events
will attest. I encourage you to get your reservations in early.
The order for your special edition, and highly collectable,
DVAPPA gifts must be submitted in plenty of time making them
available when you check-in. The next formal meeting of DVAPPA
following April at Skytop will be our June chapter meeting.
As of yet no host site has been selected. The June gathering
will end my term as DVAPPA president, and another will be
elected to that most high & noble office. Stay tuned for
those details.

President, DVAPPA
